Blog 5 - Thoreau on Twitter
After reading the article "Thoreau Transcends Twitter," create your own "tweet" from Henry's point of view. The article is a comical take on what Thoreau would say about modern inventions. If you were Henry and you had a twitter page, what would you tweet about the modern world? Be ceative, but keep it relevant.

i would tweet about how we have so much technalagy and some of the technalagy is importint to use like the computer because if you need information you can go onto the internet.
ReplyDeletei would tweet about how i try to do my best in everything. even in video games. i insight with friends through podpad. the game i am better at is angry birds. you see not everyone is great at everything. everyt=one is great at atleast one thing, for instance angry birds.

I would tweet about how people are becoming too dependent on technology, and how it's not always a good thing. I would say something about the recent snow storm Alfred. People have become so independent on technology and power that when it's gone people panic. Not everyone knows how to live or what to do without it. And then i would make a joke about how if technology was such a great thing, it wouldn't take two weeks for people to get their power back after the storm.
ReplyDeleteThe ability to create such a thing as this "Tweet" is remarkable. It goes against the ways of being able to live my own life if we follow what others say and do, however, it adds to a simplicity of things if I can share my ideas as easy as this.
ReplyDeleteI would tweet that the podpad is a very amazing device.It would be good for some people. But for me it is a bad device. It dosen't help me because I feel that you have to be dependent and on your own. If you are not you lose yourself in the technology. With out all the technology life would be much simpler.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Henry David Thoreau, I would tweet about how the PodPad can be a very helpful tool. It is useful but humans can become very dependent on it. With all of these applications, people will be following all of the trends. This will lead to little or no individualism. In this new world of technology we are never really alone or living simply. This is why I do not like the device. What happened to having time to our self? Or living simple? #smh
ReplyDeleteI would tweet about how people cant live simply in today's world. I would explain how we are all dependent on luxuries and not necessities, we don't have our necessities straight, we depend on technology mostly in life for the answers to our problems.
