  6. Transcendentalism is a literary movement that enlightened man kind. It suggests that every individual is capable of achieving a "higher truth" through intuition. Transcendentalists were connected very closely to nature and believed in living a simple life, without the materialistic items. Transcendentalism is more spiritual and goes above and beyond the animalistic nature of humanity.
